Supporting students in reaching their educational goals through Financial & Prayer Support

About Me
Responding to a call!

Last year, Matthew served as an RA but this year we are excited to announce that he is stepping up into our Apprentice role where he will be helping our first year students in their development as well as leading a team overseas!

Matthew almost didn't go to his church one Sunday in the fall of 2023. He had noticed that a guest preacher would be there, and even though he thought about not going, in the end he was faithful. Chris, the director of EnterMission was speaking about the longings of young adults and how EnterMission seeks to meet those needs. It was at the end of the service that he came forward and said that it was as if the message was written just for him and that he would be willing to quit his job right then and there to be a part of what we do.

At 26 years of age, Matthew began to walk down a path that would change his entire life. With the support of his family and his amazing church (https://www.ferncreekcc.org/), he has been a tremendous asset as he not only has joined our community but done so while serving as a Resident Assistant in the dorm! Funny and kind, Matthew has been a great example and someone who is easy ot talk to, listen, and give advice. We all believe that he should consider being a counselor because he is so caring and so able to listen with and identify with those who are struggling.

We are thankful to all of Matthew's friends, his church family and others who are stepping up with their prayer and financial support to make his mission's journey possible.

Life-Giving Community in the Philippines
The culture of the Philippines is deeply rooted in a sense of community and shared life. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the culture is the way people genuinely care for one another, living out a modern reflection of Acts 4:32. Families and neighbors share not only meals and resources but also joys and burdens, fostering an environment where no one feels left out.

I had the blessing of being invited to multiple get-togethers. Sometimes we get together to celebrate a birthday but it’s been more common that "community" is reason enough for gathering together. There is a love being around other people. Everyone contributes to the celebration and visitors are treated like family. Laughter fills the air as friends gather to share stories, jokes, and life’s simple pleasures. This love for laughter and togetherness offers a powerful lesson about being truly present with one another—valuing relationships over material possessions and slowing down to appreciate life’s moments.
